About the Job

A great SEO strategy is dependent on a great product, great content, and great execution of coding resources. We're looking for someone who can execute complex plans with a constant iterative approach.  We have over 8 million pages indexed so understanding big data, and its opportunities and complexities is a must. In this role, you would be responsible for launching SEO campaigns, identifying areas for improvement on existing sites and recommending and implementing strategies to improve our rankings in major search engines. Dive deep into analytics, assess the SEO tactics of competitors, find areas of opportunity, formulate a strategy, and execute based on the data. It's not enough to simply theorize about SEO, we want someone who knows how to convert their ideas into action. Plain and simple, you need to be an SEO geek and love your craft. We have a deep appreciation for SEO and its challenges having built everything ourselves. 

 

What You’d Get To Do

  • Product manage SEO projects and work with the conversion optimization team to balance ranking while maximizing conversions
  • Identify head terms and other areas we can potential rank for
  • Recommend/execute/manage strategies for content development that supports SEO goals and the implementation of our SEO strategy
  • Work with developers, data engineers, and designers to execute projects
  • Drive innovation that will grow our organic traffic and find scalable solutions to our technical challenges
  • Perform comprehensive keyword research, analysis, and selection to optimize existing content and discover new opportunities for the organization
  • Monitor and evaluate analytics and provide reports for the team 
  • Translate data into recommendations and action plans
  • Establish clear SEO performance indicators that complement overall marketing and business objectives
  • Analyze and review on-page and off page metrics for BeenVerified.com and other sites in the network
  • Perform diligence on prospective sites and create ongoing reports showing competitive benchmarking 
  • Recommend content approaches to gain natural attribution from authority sites 
  • Advise on information architecture to aid in search engine visibility
  • Use internal and external tools to provide or validate subject area and keyword targets for content ideation
  • Ongoing review and optimization of meta-data policies for properties under your influence
  • Collaborate on the strategy and approach for PR, social, and inbound link strategies
     

What You Bring Us

  • 3+ years experience in SEO
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in either economics, mathematics, statistics, marketing, or advertising
  • Proven experience successfully executing all aspects of SEO projects and the development life-cycle
  • Experience writing clean HTML/CSS
  • Knowledge of web design principles and technologies, and their SEO implications, including HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, DNS, robots, etc.
  • Have an overall passion for the SEO field and overall internet marketing realm
  • Proficient in quantitative analysis and Excel
  • Experience working with a CMS and building/administering content
  • Experience working with popular keyword tools
  • Strong background in web analytics, including expertise in Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools
  • Seasoned creative thinker, strategic player, and able to identify and resolve issues
  • Self-motivated with an ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
